Today's happening

I was late in picking up my children from summer school this afternoon, i mean like an hour and a half late but even in my lateness my heart was with them. My mind was in zillion places at the same, oh what will they eat, oh i hope there is electricity at home so they will not be bored what will i cook for dinner tonight. Then i finally got to Teniola's school and they were both with the gate keeper waiting for me and Teniola  was foaming as if he would explode any minute now then i was vexed i lashed at him telling him even how my heart has been with them both but i have to work i asked if he would excuse himself in an examination and tell the examiner to excuse him to put his brother in school then he smiled, as he smiled my anger melted that's when Anjola answered and said Mummy me i know you are working o.

Hmmm Holy spirit i said in my mind what will i say as regards this scenario cause i have been ranting about   me, me, me and me so i asked do u love me the reply was affirmative, do you think i will just forget to come pick you up without any reason and even if i did (God forbid i forget my children so i smiled in my heart) can't you look for a means to call me, No Mummy,  what is the greatest gift, thing i can ever give to you as a mother aside making sure you are well cared for and he said the gift of knowing Jesus.

That's all i wanted to hear.

To all the precious children attending Summer Leadership Camps this holiday period. Lord transform them, renew them, mold them, revive them, teach them what only you can i mean YOU Sweet holyspirit, no distraction of any kind. Let them return back home a changed child IJMN.

Some parents prefer to shift the responsibility of raising up their children to classroom or Sunday school teachers, but no matter how expensive the school or glorious the church, there is no better person to train your children like you. Every child has spiritual need, a need for personal relationship with God and grow in the knowledge of Him......... Exerts from the book Raising Godly Children.

I have as a mother by the help of God not left my children to be entirely trained by others, having in mind that God will ask me about what i did with the precious seeds he gave me and i tell you it scares me to think i will not have a firm reply to give. 

Dealing with peer pressure, phew!!!! my teenage son kind of want to change and behave differently. Then i got it hmmm friends abi , classmates so i started hammering heavily who he is in case he has forgotten that he is better than wanting to join the crowd. Jesus was focused, he endures all just because what He will achieve was far greater. My pastor will say he always dressed so conscious neat  that  he is a royal priesthood. I imbibe such in him as well, boy dress well, neat hair cut and yes he knows how to choose and combine his clothes you can't go with the crowd and dress anyhow while am dressed decent never. And i say to him and Solomon loved the Lord !!!!!!!!! and he smiles cause its his name. 

You see as parents it is too right, very right to cut off anyone who we think is not influencing our children in a positive way, i have done that a couple of times, not only someone but some thing as well and you will find out that they get along just without it and they are changed.

Bringing up a child in godly way is our task as a parent, and it will show and it will give rest round about.
